We strongly recommend the use of Zebra Technologies Corporation-brand supplies for continuous high-quality printing. A wide range of paper, polypropylene, polyester, and vinyl stock has been specifically engineered to enhance the printing capabilities of the printer and to ensure against premature printhead wear. If the ribbon is narrower than the media, areas of the printhead are unprotected and subject to premature wear.

When printing in direct thermal mode, ribbon is not used and should not be loaded in the printer. The power supply in the printer automatically detects the applied line voltage and works in the 90 to VAC range.
